WHAT TO EXPECT
During your visit to Radiant Women’s Center, Dr. Sheryl Facey will perform a clinical breast exam as part of your comprehensive well-woman exam or as a standalone service. Here’s what you can expect:

Visual Inspection: Dr. Facey will begin by visually examining your breasts for any changes in size, shape, or symmetry, as well as checking for skin changes, dimpling, or nipple abnormalities.
Manual Examination: The clinical breast exam involves manually feeling the breast tissue, underarms, and collarbone area for lumps, thickening, or any unusual changes. Dr. Facey uses a systematic approach to ensure all areas are thoroughly checked.
Patient Education: Dr. Facey takes the time to educate you on breast self-exams, guiding you on how to perform them correctly at home. She will also discuss any symptoms to watch for and when to schedule follow-up appointments or further diagnostic testing, if necessary.
WHEN TO SCHEDULE
It is recommended that women begin regular breast exams in their 20s and continue them annually as part of their well-woman visits.
